The majority of HP all in ones will work. (But of course, not all of
them.)
You can always check hplipopensource.com for a list of supported HP
printers. (There's also linuxprinting.com, but I've found it to often
be out of date, or confusing it its description.
I use the HPC4795, which works out of the box with most distributions,
though Fedora's hplip, the program used for this, seems to be slightly
broken, and with Fedora, and CentOS, I have to install hplip from the
hplip website.
However, Ubuntu (Lucid and Maverick), Mint, and Arch all work quite well
with it for both printing and scanning.
