That's what I'm led to understand, but we have to remember that Linux
security is software based, not hardware based. While it would be
somewhat more difficult to write malware that arbitrarily installs and
runs a piece of code, it's not impossible. The standard buffer overrun
and other attacks will work.

Once the malware author gets his machine code to run on the processor,
he can literally do anything he wants -- including overwriting or
circumventing the operating system.
