Then the part about removing usb is irrelevant and it is not a grub problem.
I suspect you have a hardware malfunction instead and would look to
troubleshooting that. If I was in your position then I would start by
cleaning and then checking the memory and hard drive. If it is still under
warranty then I would have a technician do it, otherwise I would open it up
and see what there is to see.
