I am using openSuSE 11.2 today because Ubuntu 9.10 won't boot after the
latest update. Did it mess anyone else up? It won't mount the file system
and X won't load. I tried to fix it and I re-installed Kubuntu, but it won't
even get that far now. I can sometimes get a root shell but most of the time
it just hangs. I think that I need to re-install. That is not why I am
writing, just giving a heads up. In over three years of using Ubuntu and
countless installations this has never once happened to me. I guess I can't
complain, all things considered.
Anyway, my OpenSuSE question is really Firefox related. It underlines every
word in the message window. When I right click on a word the suggested
spellings are for another language (Spanish or Portugese by the looks of
it). The language in FF is English, so that setting is okay. KDE's settings
are for Canada and the keyboard is US. I am mystified.
