Thanks for the encouragement.

I've just vacillated into a small Perl project (my lack of mid-term focus and commitment are legendary), but I'll get back on the OO case with the Java / Sun tutorial series when my will deems it appropriate. The Perl will probably help; it requires me to use Tk GUI widgets, and they are event-driven objects (crikey, back into OO mode already).

You're right; I'll 'get it' if I just keep letting the ideas flow through me, and because the human cortex has no destructors (especially something as sinister as Java's auto-garbage-collection), I'll still be able to code procedurally as required / desired.

Paradigm OO = new Paradigm();

Meanwhile, I'll lurk this list and watch the fun.
