I didn't know that. Hrrmph.

Arch's system works rather well, usually. Also, when there is a problem,
since its userbase is comparatively small, compared to say, Ubuntu or
Fedora, you can often simply email a developer directly to find out
what's wrong. Unlike abovementioned, they actually listen to the
users--though in fairness, many Fedora/Ubuntu, etc. users aren't that
technically adept and would just post messages like, you broke sound in
my Fedora. What's wrong? plz hlp, thx.

One that might interest you (though honestly, I don't know about their
startup script style), is a newcomer

http://www.debian.org/ports/kfreebsd-gnu/

It's Debian with a freebsd kernel. I haven't tried it, but it does seem
interesting--it uses PF rather than IPtables, and has jails.
I suspect it will take work, at present, at least, to get it going
properly, and I simply haven't had the time to play with it yet.
