Hi Ken,
I think you may need administrator privileges to run that.
Check "run as administrator" on the right click
Thanks & Regards,

Subject: [Java] New Member - simple question about Java for Dummies
To: Java_Official@
Date: Tuesday, September 15, 2009, 4:01 PM
Hi there,
My name is Ken and I have been programming for many years but know nothing about web programing. So I picked up Java for dummies 4th.
I downloaded and installed the JDK (161 megs) from java.sun.com on my windows vista per the authors instructions.
I then installed the IDE called JCreator from the cd that was supplied with the book, it also installs the sample projects.
so far so good,
Following the authors instructions I launched JCreator and attempted to build my first program (Chapter02.jcw) and it failed. I can only assume there is some type of permission problem. Here is the output from the build;
------------ --------Configur ation: Program0201 - JDK version <Default> - <Default>--- --------- --------
C:\Program Files\Xinox Software\JCreatorV4 LE\MyProjects\ Program0201\ MortgageText. java:4: error while writing MortgageText: C:\Program Files\Xinox Software\JCreatorV4 LE\MyProjects\ Program0201\ MortgageText. class (Access is denied)
public class MortgageText {
^
1 error
Process completed.
Any help would be most appreciated
Thanks
