Not really. Most high end movies use dual layer DVDs so they can hold up
to 8.54 GB of data.
Main movie with cuts and other junk will fill a dual layer DVD pretty
quickly.
But unless I am mistaken, these disk should still use a standard ISO
file system since UDF is only needed when you add single files larger
then 2GB onto a DVD.
Might be some new form of copy protection. You could try opening the DVD
with vlc in verbose mode to get more information on why it fails to play.
Do this by opening a console and executing
#vlc --verbose 2
And you may want to search Google for the DVD title, if other DVDs play
on your system then the studio might have done something strange to this
movie and others will have problems as well.
