Actually, Roy, see my later posts--you were one of the folks I had in
mind when I said telling them to install Ubuntu might not be the best
scenario in this case. In many cases, it is one of the best answers,
but as mentioned in my other posts, updating can literally take hours if
the OP has the SSD drive.

It's not going to have that. She's running Linpus (as was later
revealed) which was based on Fedora 8.
(However, Sharon, if you do wind up with Ubuntu, save Roy's email, he's
just saved you a bit of digging.)
