[LINUX_Newbies] Firefox update ???

 

Hello,

I am using Linux on an Acer Aspire netbook.

I have tried to download and install Firefox 3.6, but I don't know how to do it.

I open it with Xarchiver, and it comes up as a list of separate files, with the choices of Open or Extract, but I cannot figure out what to do.

I am using Firefox version 2.0 and realize I need to update it soon.
