[LINUX_Newbies] Libre Office Freezing

 

Every time I open Libre Office I get
to type around 5 characters before the
keyboard freezes. If I then type about
300 characters of garbage it undoes this
and I can finally write the document.

Does anyone else get this snag? I'm
guessing it might be a setting that
needs changing but I can't find it.

A resolution would be much appreciated.

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 with all updates.
