Your best bet if you really want privacy is to install TAILS (TAILS, the Amnesic Incognito Live System,) to a usb stick and run it from there. Make sure it is not persistent, ie. you cannot write to it or install on it. You could also try running it from a virtual machine as long as you do not install TAILS, just run it from the ISO. This could be more convenient, if you have the skills.

It takes Tor to a whole new level. Read the above articles to find out why Tor does not work well.
