[LINUX_Newbies] VOIP Calling Only??

Going bonkers researching a routine to replace what I'm now using that
is EOL 15May2014:

A GV, Google Voice, account and number with a simonics.com SIP invoked
by a soft client; Zoiper; using the PC's sound card and a headset/mic; that
I need for my hearing problem--ringing regular PSTN telephones, sans our
regular PSTN phone line..

No problem finding someone like callcentric.com but free calls are only
callcentric to callcentric devices..

Maybe I'm asking the impossible?? (Simple) call out with NO fancy PBX,
Incoming, Call Waiting, etc and so forth.. :^)..

Since we have unlimited PSTN; an option may be a way to use my PC sound
card and headset/mic combination interfacing to our PSTN??

TIA.. Enjoying the list..
