Sorry Paul - I checked out the link but I didn't understand anything that's written on that page (except for the word "registry", which is something I stay very far away from). But then I have no idea what Ghostscript is, or even what a Postscript preprocessor is. I think we just have very different levels of knowledge about all of this.
My feeling is, if the printer prints, then I'm happy. If it doesn't then I'd probably reinstall the printer driver, and if that doesn't work I'd probably buy a new printer. Fortunately I haven't had to do either of those.

> I wouldn't call it trouble, just different. Linux is naturally more of a chain of events than Windows usually is when it comes to printing. Though I believe that Windows can also use the same Postscript preprocessor as Linux does, lots less actually go through the trouble. I say I believe because even I've never been in the minority that has ever bothered to install such on Windows. It is for me, one of those exotic oddities I've only just read about.
