[nslu2-linux] Can't set alias in .profile

Hi folks - I've had my slug running uNSLUng for a while now. Great tool, but I'm struggling with a could of simple things. I'm trying to set some aliases in /root/.profile...

# cat /root/.profile
#!/bin/sh
export PATH=$PATH:/opt/user/root/scripts
alias scripts='cd /opt/user/root/scripts'

but when I log into the slug it tells me "-sh: alias: not found"

Is this a limitation of "sh" or do I just need to install something?

Thanks in advance!
