If that doesn't work, unmount the swap partition.
To do that, select the swap partition, then select 'Swapoff' under the
'Partition' dropdown. It's in the same place on the menu as the
'Unmount' command.
If you are using the swap partition, and the swap partition is inside an
extended partition, you won't be able to resize the extended partition.
